Privacy Statement

Applied Programming Technology, Inc. (APT) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. APT provides this Privacy Statement to inform you of our Privacy Policy and practices, of how information is collected online and how that information is used. We make this notice readily available on our home page and at the bottom of every APT Web page.

Use and Privacy of Personal Information

At Applied Programming Technology, we are concerned about your privacy and the security of the personal or business information you provide to us. In certain cases, APT collects personal information online, including names, postal and e-mail addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, as well as trouble report information. Information you submit through this website is voluntary, unless otherwise stated at the point of submission. This information is used for the sole purpose of assisting us in providing you with the best service possible.

Data Collection

We collect two types of information:

  1. Standard web server traffic pattern information. General traffic, site usage, and length of stay information is collected and stored in log files. This type of information may be shared externally only on an aggregated basis.

  2. Personal information. We do not collect personally identifiable information from you unless you provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. In order to provide you with login access, we collect the following information: name, organization, street address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, and email address. This information is collected on our online registration form.

We do not distribute or sell any of the personal information you provide to us. Please note, personal information is shared with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, SNAP Program Manager, for the purposes of access control to the software.

Use of Cookies

"Cookies" are small bits of text that are used either for the duration of a session ("session cookies") or saved on a user's hard drive to identify that user, or information about that user, the next time the user logs on to a Web site ("persistent cookies"). We use "session cookies" as place-keepers to retain context during an individual user session. They assist with movement throughout the site during an individual user session without any capacity to track users over time and across different Web sites. Session cookies are deleted at the end of a user session or they expire in a short time. They are not used to track personal information.
